Mostaza is a great Spanish restaurant just around the corner from the Los Cuatro Tulipanes office. It serves some great Spanish dishes like baccalao, eggplant in vinaigrette, and small chorizo sausages, all with the wonderful breeze of the sea just a block away.

It’s one of the older restaurants in our neighborhood and often plays host to various dignitaries on their lunch breaks. It’s not uncommon for guards to be outside the door and the president inside dining, in fact there was one time I wandered in there and said Hi to Martin before I took a bathroom break. Amazing!

The outside seating is romantic too, especially at night when the Arco Chato (the old church across from it) is lit up. They offer some version of valet parking (I think) but if you park in the main public lot, it’s only a 3-block walk. Try the house sangria too as well as the small warm dinner rolls and roasted garlic.
