Plaza Herrera is probably the next to be developed and gentrified. It’s a large plaza with a cool statue in the middle, flanked by buildings currently in some phase of construction. There’s often a snow cone vendor who wanders this plaza called Elvin (at least that’s what it sounds like when he says his name).

Plaza Herrera is also home to one of the local soccer courts where you can see kids (and adults) playing futbol like it’s going out of style. Wander up too much further than Plaza Herrera and you start to get into a dicey area, so we usually recommend guests stay more or less within it’s limits. There’s a lot of great history to Plaza Herrera, but we don’t know much of it, other than it’s a great place to hang around when the sun is setting.
