Our beloved Keenan has recently been featured in a Panama City culinary article. Also taking advice from various Casco Viejo food experts, Keenan reveals his true eating habits and preferences in typical Keenan style. Quoted directly from the source, Keenan favorite dish in Casco Viejo is "Ego's Portobelo Bruschetta and Chicharrones. My pallet is most readily compared to a trash can, but I find these two dishes to be the best dishes in all Casco Viejo. The balance between sour and sweet with the Portobelo Bruschettta and the crunchy and spicy of the Chicharrones is heavenly (that was my Anthony Bourdain analysis). During my mothers annual visit to Panama, we decided to tour the restaurants of Casco Viejo. I enlisted the help of some foodie friends to guide us in the right direction. It can be interesting to note though, how characteristics in these new haunts translate to the district's progress as a whole.

Just the other day, I decided to bypass my daily sit-down lunch meal in an effort to more acquaint myself with the street food of Casco Antiguo. Unlike Manolo Caracol or Ego, the street food in this neighborhood is not served on a bright white napkin. But in reality, it was the shady fruits and shadowy snacks that I was after.
