Lately, we’ve noticed a lot of inquiries about extended stays: people looking to come down for several weeks at a time, if not months, in an almost unanimous effort to escape the worsening financial crisis at home. Young professionals from New York City who simply can’t afford their $4k/month rent, middle aged couples from the West Coast concerned with losing their jobs, individuals from Europe, Canada, and throughout the continental USA looking merely to take a break from the negative atmosphere of home by visiting us down in the tropics.
In an effort to convert the economy’s skepticism into profit, we here at Los Cuatro Tulipanes have started offering “recession discounts” or incentives to leave your downtrodden morale at home and join us in blossoming Panama, one of the most exciting countries of 2009. From the warm climate to the growing economy, Panama serves perfectly as a rest stop to weather your financial storm.
We’re now offering discounts on stays longer than four days at all of our apartment rentals. One of the great benefits of staying with us here in Casco Viejo is our knowledge of the neighborhood and country as a whole. If you’re looking to travel, let us set up your countrywide vacation from start to finish! If you’re looking to arrange business endeavors, let us assist with valuable connections in a variety of different market sectors. If you’re looking to invest, let us set you up personally with reputable experts in the field. Staying at Los Cuatro Tulipanes isn’t just a rental. It’s the full experience.
Owner, Keenan Lee: After abandoning the work-til-you-die mentality of Manhattan’s paralegal world, Keenan opted to make the jump down to Panama in early 2008. A native of New Jersey and a graduate of the University of Richmond’s Business School, Keenan’s love for food, entertainment, and traveling has made him a staple of the Casco Viejo neighborhood where everyone, including the locals, refer to him as ‘chino’ or ‘the Chinese one.’ Keenan is an expert on all things Panama City and is fully capable of organizing both business and pleasure arrangements during your stay.
Manager, Maria Cristina Quiroz: Commonly referred to as “our favorite Panamanian,” Cristina is all business! A licensed lawyer, she’s our go-to woman for working the intricacies of Panama’s tourism, investment, and legal world. While Cristina holds a Panamanian passport, she’s also fully bilingual and simultaneously runs one of Casco Viejo’s best restaurants Rene Café (just a block from our office!) You’ll probably see Cristina several times during your stay, running in and out of buildings, putting out fires. If you’re lucky, she might even give you a smile!
Our Maids: Maid service is a great benefit of staying here at Los Cuatro Tulipanes and we’ve compiled one of the best, most enthusiastic teams of local cleaning women around! Whether you’re practicing your Spanish with Elida, sharing a cookie with Deira, or meeting Luz upon arrival, know that our team is time tested. Having been originally our own personal maids, we trust them 100% and have come to appreciate their humor, care, and work ethic in a maternal way. When they’re not helping prepare rooms, we like to think of these women as our surrogate mothers.
SO JOIN THE FAMILY! Contact us today and let us help you escape the recession and start a new week, be it short term or long, in Casco Viejo: one of the most unique and intriguing neighborhoods on this continent’s Pacific Coast!
