What is the cancellation policy? Because we are such a small operation, we have what might appear to be a strict cancellation policy. If notice is received within 21 days of Reservation, we are unable to issue a refund. If notice is received 22 days or more in advance of Reservation, a full refund will be issued minus a $50 cancellation fee. In order to protect ourselves from last minute cancellations, we do require a holding credit card on file from the moment of confirmation through the moment of departure. We, ourselves, are travelers too and know that emergencies can and do occur. Where are we located? Casa Las Monjas | Avenida Central between Calle 3 and Calle 4 (Above Granclement Ice Cream) | Casco Antiguo, Panama City
How far is Casco Viejo from the Panama City? Casco Viejo is a district within Panama City. It takes about 5-7 minutes to reach downtown via a $3 cab ride.

When/Where can we Check-In? The most convenient/simplest way to Check-In is to book a transfer with us for when you arrive. We’ll send a driver to meet you at the Airport, he’ll bring you to your apartment, and we’ll meet you there with keys, a map and suggestions for your stay. Done. Otherwise, Check-In is from 2pm to 6pm, but you can Check-In earlier or later with notification and subject to other reservations. You will Check-In at the office and then we will lead you to your apartment in Casco Viejo.
Early Check-In? If no one rents the apartment the night before, you are free to Check-In the apartment as early as you please. But if there are guests staying in the apartment the night before, you cannot enter the apartment until 2:00pm to allow the previous guests to Check-Out and for us to clean. If someone rents the apartment the night before, you would come Check-In at whatever time on your Check-In date (pay any outstanding balance, receive your keys, leave your luggage in the office and we’ll show you where your apartment is), but you cannot enter the apartment until 2:00pm. If you have a reservation and need an early Check-In, please email us the day before your Check-In and we can alert you if someone has rented the apartment for the night before your arrival.
What time is check-out? Check-Out is at 11:00am and we ask that you leave your keys on the Kitchen Table and lock the door when you leave.
Can I arrange for a late check-out? Must be requested beforehand and we will extend the Check-Out time until 1:30pm if possible, but if another guest wants to rent the apartment the day of your departure, we cannot provide a late Check-Out and you will have to Check-Out at 11:00am. However, if you pay an extra 50% nightly rate, than we will guarantee a late Check-Out until 6pm but this has to be confirmed beforehand.
Can I order breakfast? There are so many great options in the area and we like to suggest you walk around and check them out. If you would prefer not or are leaving early, we can arrange for a pre-made breakfast to be delivered ($5/person per morning) the night before (consisting of granola, yogurt, toast, jam, butter, a hard boiled egg, a piece of fruit and orange juice). This is done because, one, we do not have a central location to serve breakfast and two, as we know everyone is on different schedules, we believe this offers the most mobility for our guests and a quick bite to eat to get the morning started.
How do I get there? We agree with this article. Cabs are easily available and economical. If you are considering heading out of the city, we recommend renting a car the day you leave Panama City.
Can I request an airport pickup? You send your flight information, arrival time, airport you’re arriving at and the number of passengers in your party, and we will arrange the pick-up whereby our driver will meet you at the Airport and bring you to our office or your apartment to Check-In.
Will my apartment have internet? All of our apartments are equipped with internet which is free for your use. Some apartments have speeds which are faster than others and some apartments are wireless, so please be sure to read the description of the apartment. Also, remember that in the historic quarter, walls are very old and thick so internet can be touchy. Additionally, there is an internet cafe on Avienda A between Calle 4 and Calle 5 in front of Reprosa and free Wi-Fi at Super Gourmet, Tequila Bar and Casablanca Restaurant located on Plaza Bolivar.
Do you offer a laundry service? Some of our apartments have laundry machines and some don’t. Again, please be sure to read the description of the apartment. If you would like, we would be happy to do a load of laundry for you which would be washed, dried, folded and returned the following day and which would be $10 payable in cash upon delivery of the laundry. As for dry cleaning, when we receive the clothes we will deliver them back to you in two days time and you will pay the cost and a $5 Service Fee. Alternatively, there is a laundromat located on Avenida Central between Calle 7 and Calle 8.
Cell phones? The absolute easiest solution is for you to go to any one of the malls (Multiplaza, Allbrook or Multicentro) and stop by Digicel, Cable & Wireless, or Movistar and pick up a PrePaid Cellphone for $25. Information on how to buy a local cell phone is provided in the apartments. We do have a habit of lending out cell phones to guests, so do inquire if your need is only temporary.
