Building Details

A part of the first wave of buildings to be renovated in Casco Viejo at the turn of the century, Casa Remon sits right off of Plaza Catedral. Casa Remon housed the headquarters of International Living in Panama for many years and offers 2 beautifully renovated apartments. This light beige building has one of the most beautiful wooden balconies in all of Casco Viejo and any guest of the 2-Bedroom apartment will undoubtedly find themselves lounging about the apartment with the balcony doors slung open soaking in Casco Viejo.

Guests of this apartment are occasionally graced with Jazz Festivals in Plaza Catedral and from this apartment one can elect to stroll right on down or enjoy the party from afar. This Plaza is always alive and also happens to be the home of Iglesia Catedral, the Canal Museum, the Emerald Museum, Rene Café and what will soon be, Hotel Central.

From here, one can take a quick stroll to Super Gourmet for a sandwich or one of the other restaurants in the area. On Friday’s around 6 or 7pm, a lady sets up shop right down the road on the corner of Avenida Central and Calle 5 and sells “Pescado Frito”. If you enjoy being served from a silver spoon, stay away, but for those of us that enjoy the street foods of the countries we visit, this is some of the best.
